From the Artist:
Throughout time, the stars have offered stories, navigation, and guidance. For my new collection of work, I have illustrated the zodiac constellations, bringing old myths to contemporary times, and a bit of the heavens down to earth.
By purchasing my products, buyers are also supporting two other local businesses. The cotton bandanas are sewn by the fair trade, women's co-op, DouglaPrietaWorks, in Agua Prieta, Sonora. My screen printing is done in South Tucson by the union print shop, The Gloo Factory. My product packaging, wrapping paper, and shipping supplies are made with recycled and eco-friendly content (no new cardboard or plastic). My prints are replicas of my hand-painted designs, I typically show the original paintings alongside their prints. The designs are bold and graphic with the aesthetic of a handmade craft. My bandanas are a whole collection, not just isolated prints. For the first time, this holiday season, I will be offering a gift box with all seven of my bandanas.
