hello there!

CULTIVATE Tucson is a collective that builds pop-up events in order to introduce makers, designers, small businesses, and non-profits to each other; share emerging talent and spaces; and create:

  • a thriving, honest, creative community
  • a collaborative environment for ideas, visions, dreams, and goals
  • a face-to-face opportunity to support local creatives & makers
  • a place for supporting community initiatives + non-profits

our mission

Our goal is to foster collective empowerment, creative initiative, and community growth. We aim to showcase Tucson's very best independent makers & shops in a vibrant marketplace, under one roof, while creating a unique experience for the community to come together and also providing a means for local goods & art to fund community initiatives and non-profits in the region.

We believe that authentic RELATIONSHIPS and face-to-face connections are essential for personal and creative growth.

Claire Seizovic, Co-founder & Creative Director A little over a year ago, Claire noticed there was a wonderful opportunity in Tucson for a pop-up market featuring local designers, makers, independent shops, and artists…and happened to meet Kristin around the same time. When Claire’s not organizing CULTIVATE Tucson's next venture, she designs elements & brand systems for small businesses, creates minimalist jewelry, plays violin & drinks lots of coffee. On the weekends, she loves to brunch at 5 Points, score vintage finds, collage, try new stout beers, and hang out with her man! Kristin Tovar, Co-founder & Operations Director Kristin started the #whyilovewhereilive movement to encourage others to appreciate their surroundings and take notice of all that Tucson has to offer. She likes to explore new places on foot, with a camera and coffee in hand. Seeing people connect through art and events is what makes her excited about hosting pop-up markets & bringing people together. She sees it as an opportunity to showcase local talent and tell people's stories through their art and businesses. When Kristin’s not working on projects or taking pictures, she’s out & about enjoying the city with her family. Find her at whyilovewhereilive.com & follow her daily adventures here!

Kelsey Collins, Pop-up Market Team Kelsey Collins is a Tucson transplant who fell in love with the Old Pueblo after visiting a few years ago. She and her husband are downtown-dwellers, and they can often be found walking downtown or around the university, popping into shops and eating their way through the culinary delights of the city. By day Kelsey is a preschool teacher, and at all hours an artist, most recently in the areas of hand lettering and embroidery. Her faith, community, and the beauty of the desert are her greatest inspirations to create.  Find her work at etsy.com/shop/ShopKCo & follow her daily adventures here!

Aggie Welty, Communications Intern Aggie just recently become a Tucsonan but is embracing it in full. No matter where she's lived she has sought to support local creatives and be a part of what is happening in the community. Since this is Cultivate at its core, of course she jumped at the chance to be an intern! Aggie enjoys sending and receiving thoughtful snail mail, a quality scoop (vat) of ice cream, hikes, runs and hosting with her husband.
